Amy & Matt Elopement in Zion National Park

Amy and Matt travelled from New Jersey to elope in Zion National Park. We found the most perfect field for the ceremony- tall yellow grass with Zion in the background. And that golden light at sunset was perfection! It was just the four of them, plus the officiant and myself. After the ceremony we took some photos and then they broke out the Champagne and cake. Goodness I love elopements. These two are just wonderful people and I loved documenting their day!

Boho Mountain Wedding in Pine Valley Southern Utah Wedding Photography

Lis and Travis were married at the bride’s grandfather’s cabin in Pine Valley, Utah. It was the perfect cabin wedding, set against the backdrop of the gorgeous mountains. I loved all of the detail and thought that these two put into their day. Lis made her bouquet and all of the centerpieces. The couples collected wine bottles leading up to their wedding to use as decorations. The floral arch was made by the bride and her maids. The bride made all of the flower crowns… the list goes on! My favorite part of this wedding was all of the love that was behind everything. It was sweet and intimate and special. Lis and Travis are also truly wonderful people and it was a joy to work with them. Weddings like this one make my heart full.

Debbie & Zev Romantic Wedding in Zion National Park

I have a special place in my heart for weddings when kids are involved. When Joey and I got married, Aeva and Beatrice were seven and I had been in their lives since they were four. We had a close bond then that is even more special and close almost 10 years later. We included them a lot in our wedding day, and in the plans leading up to it, so the day felt even more special because we all became a family.

So you can imagine how much I died over Zev’s two adorable little girls and their sweet bond with Debbie. It was evident that it was also the happiest day of their lives as well. They were so sweet with Debbie and their dad, and the youngest one kept exclaiming during the ceremony “Kiss! Kiss!” The sweetest ever.

Thanks for having me be part of your beautiful day, friends. It was truly an honor.

Clarissa & Riley Autumn in the Mountains

We photographed Clarissa and Riley’s bridal session the day before their wedding, on the last day of the fall leaves. In love with the colors from this shoot, and these two humans in general.

Sabina & Justin Destination Wedding in Punta de Mita, Mexico

Sabina and Justin’s destination wedding at Imanta Resorts in Punta de Mita, Mexico, will always be a favorite of mine! They wanted an intimate beach setting for their destination wedding and I think they picked the perfect location. Imanta Resorts is the most stunning property I’ve seen- completely private and secluded on a beach cliffside in Mexico, about 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta. This wedding was magical in every sense of the word. Joey and I climbed about a million steps while shooting this wedding and I lost my Rainbow sandals on the beach somewhere after the ceremony, but it was pretty cool to shoot this wedding barefoot. Can’t complain about that. The reception was held under a tent right on the sandy beach, and the evening ending with a wild dance party and beach bonfire. I’m ready to return to Punta de Mita already!

Sabina and Justin’s intimate destination wedding in Mexico has been featured on the pages of Brides magazine, and was the cover of Elite Wedding Collection magazine. It was also selected for a feature in Style Me Pretty.

Featured Vendor: Basic Invite

Hey guys. It's been awhile since I've written a blog post! I have been fortunate to work with some amazing couples this year and I can't wait to share all of the goodness from spring, summer, and fall weddings! Right now I am booking family photo sessions for those holiday cards so be sure to contact me to reserve your spot! I will only be booking until the first week of December this year, so there's really just one month left to procrastinate people :)

And speaking of family photos, I just ordered my holiday cards from Basic Invite this year and wanted to tell all of you happily engaged couples about their wedding invitations! I've partnered with Basic Invite to spread the word about their lovely custom printing services. I always recommend Basic Invite to my brides, family clients, and graduating seniors.

A few things I love about Basic Invite:

First, they are a national online company based in St. George! I love supporting local businesses so this is a win-win. Their website is easy to use and find exactly what you’re looking for. You can customize your invitation online through their website so it’s quick, easy, and affordable too :)

With Basic Invite, you can customize your invitations with over 180 color options and 800 wedding invitation sets. Each of their wedding invitations is part of a set. You can find everything from save the dates to wedding invitations and enclosure cards, wedding menus, wedding programs and even matching thank you cards! They also just rolled out a new rose gold foil (who doesn't love rose gold?)

It’s also one of the few websites that allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before they ever have to place their final order.

They have over 40 different colors of envelopes available so that you can make your invitation stand out even before it is opened. Even better, all of their envelopes are peel and seal so the envelopes can be quickly and securely closed. No licking envelopes for you!

If you're anything like me, collecting addresses is such a pain. I still have half-addressed cards sitting in my drawer from last year. I love that Basic Invite has a free address collection service to request your addresses with just three simple steps. Share a link, collect addresses, and get free envelope printing!

And last but not least, Basic Invite has wedding websites that are completely customizable just like their wedding invitations! They are mobile friendly and super easy to use. You can instantly upload all of your wedding details along with images and a map with directions which is super convenient for your guests. Choose from 180 custom colors and even choose a design to match your wedding invitation suite!

1920s Style Wedding at Old Mormon Fort Las Vegas Wedding Photographer

I always love when I get to travel to Las Vegas for weddings. Since I’m located in Southern Utah, it’s less than two hours for me to drive there so it’s relatively easy! Las Vegas weddings at the LDS temple are so beautiful, I love the strutuce of the temple and the best part is that they have an area for you wait indoors until the bride and groom are ready to exit. No waiting in the 110 degree heat like the St. George temple!

I have so much love for Trish and Jake and their beautiful wedding! When I first talked with Trish about her plans she told me about her ideas for 1920s style cabanas, lace doily lanterns, and a mariachi band at the Old Mormon Fort in Historical Las Vegas. I was immediately hooked! But my favorite part of this wedding wasn't the details, it was the people. The joy and love not only between the bride and groom but the entire family. It was the happiest occasion. Thanks for having me along, friends. I loved every moment!
